WHY BIOMASS? (5) How are pellets transported & stored

Free Flowing and
Delivered by Tanker
or in Handy To Carry Sacks.

The higher the weight per cubic metre the more energy delivered.

When transporting and storing pellets the bulk density is important as the mass in kg per cubic metre is in proportion to the energy stored in the pellets, MJ/kg. The higher the weight the more energy delivered, very important when the delivery is over long distances.

Fibre engineered to resist the intake of moisture.

Resistance to moisture is equally important, storage has to be in a covered container or an area away from moisture. When standard white pellets get damp they disintegrate and blow up instantly returning to sawdust. Norsk brown super pellets are a homogenous product, the fibre is engineered to resist the intake of moisture as shown in illustration above providing unrivalled quality and delivery of heat energy.
