System "Jet" - Optimal combustion.
1 – The combustion air is supplied by one or two fans (600kW) above the burner and cools the outer parts of the burner by passing through a channel system in the burner housing. The air is preheated, thus contributing to more effective combustion. The fans are speed controlled in order to provide the right quantity of air with regard to the fuel filling ratio at the actual effect position.
2 – Pellets are fed via an internal feeding auger inside the burner drum’s combustion chamber where the fuel is dried before it reaches the combustion zone.
3 – The active roasting surface and the burner’s drum rotation vary according to the output requirement, in order to create an optimal fuel bed over the entire regulation range. The air is added from below and all around the fuel bed through holes in the roasting plates and always provides the right fuel to air mixture. The rotation of the drum also means that the bed is rotated and ensures that all the fuel has the opportunity to be completely combusted.
4 – On the inside of the drum, angled agitators are welded to the drum. The agitators ensure through the rotation of the drum that the bed is stirred and that the fuel is also fed backwards and does not leave the burner drum until it is fully combusted. The entire burner is also fitted at an angle on the boiler which contributes to retaining the fuel for as long as there is energy to be produced. The result is that the fuel is continually re-circulated until it is fully combusted. The remaining ash accompanies the combustion air out of the burner drum.
5 – After the primary combustion zone the secondary air is added in the secondary air column around the entire burner drum. The extra air makes it possible to continue combustion and all fuel that is gasified is fully combusted in the afterburner chamber (6) which is the outer part of the burner. The secondary air channels in the column are angled and create turbulence by rotating the combustion air and thereby providing an effective mixture and longer retention time with the gasified fuel.
