Signalling a new era in Environmentally Friendly Heating Technology

Calimax Pellet Stoves are smart and dimensioned neatly so that they can be placed where you need it most – in your living space. Years of development work are now enabling an unprecedented combination of environmentally friendly and pleasant combustion technology, with maximum operating convenience for the user.

Ease of operation:
The integrated control mechanism ensures ease of operation. The user simply sets the desired room temperature and the control mechanism monitors the entire heating operation: igniting the stove when heat is required, selecting the correct heat setting, and turning the stove off when the room reaches the desired temperature.

Automatic ignition system:
The pellets are fed into an optimally controlled combustion chamber. An auger feeds the pellets from the hopper into the burn pot. The control mechanism starts the ceramic ignition system. Once the stove reaches a temperature of about 200°C, the pellets ignite. The start phase is complete after about 15 minutes, and the control program switches to the normal heating control mode

Continuous operation for up to 70 hours:
Calimax pellet stoves can operate continuously for up to 70 hours – depending upon heat output. The heat setting depends on the temperature difference between the desired temperature and the actual temperature.

Precision regulation of combustion:
The control mechanism also regulates the ratio of fuel to air. Since the fuel quality is defined in the DIN 51731 and Ö-NORM M 7135 standards (size, moisture content, BTU output ...) the on/off operation of the drive motor regulates the necessary amount of fuel. Similarly, the speed-regulated exhaust fan can precisely regulate the combustion air.

Chimney:
Since Calimax Pellet Stoves have a very high efficiency rating of over 94 %, exhaust gas temperatures under 100°C are possible. This is why a chimney resistant to moisture is recommended. Before installation, any questions regarding the structure and condition of the chimney should be cleared up with a local chimney sweep or the appropriate local authorities.
